Film Festival

Hi, 

All of the senior school in our school is going to be making short clips about kindness, I am so exited! Right now we are on step 1: Story boarding. My teacher even showed us the website called Story Board Creator. It is a really cool site where you can make a story board by choosing and editing the characters, setting the scene if you want it like day or night, edit the background, also, you can make more stripes! But for that, you have to make an account, and you have to choose if you want it personal or by google. Also, If you want to see the movies made by kids in 2019, click the here for it.

Hi, I want to share a site called Story board Creator. My class is using it to create our storyboards online for the Ako Hiko Film Festival. The theme was kindness, and our movies had to be related on the theme. I have made a storyboard, but it is incomplete, so I will show you the parts I have done.

My Holiday Writing

Hi everyone,
I want to share another peace of my writing, but this time it will be about my school holidays! It is about one event that happened.

Here is my writing: 

My School Holidays

During the school holidays, I went to the city. I went to the city with my family. We went to the city because my dad thought that we needed to drive around and walk.

But first we went to the laundromat to wash and dry our clothes. I had to help my dad carry all of the clothes. I also helped him put the clothes in the dryer.

After we went to the laundromat, we drove to the city. It took about 20 minutes. Once we had reached the city,  my dad parked the car in a car park. So when he had parked it, we got off and wore our jackets. My family and I got out of the car park and started walking uphill. My legs got tired as we walked more and more. My sister Anoosha, wanted some ice cream from Mcdonalds. So my mum started to find a mall. As soon as she found one, we headed over there.


When we got in the mall, my parents started to find a food court. They searched everywhere on the ground floor. But they could not find it. So we had to take an escalator to the first floor. We also looked everywhere on the first floor. But still, we could not find it. All we could see was shops.  So we took another escalator to the second floor. As soon as we reached the second floor, I could smell some food. We started to head to the food court. My family and I looked everywhere to find McDonald’s. But we couldn't find it. We had to go back to the ground floor and exit. Once we got out, my dad found a Mcdonalds across the street.


So my family and I went across the road and went into McDonald’s. We found a table that had four chairs. But on the table, there was some leftover food and drinks. My dad and I put the food and drinks in the bin. So then, my dad went to order the food. He got both me and Anoosha an Ice cream and fries. He also brought my mum a hot chocolate. The food was so good! ¨ Yummy!” Anoosha said. When we were finished, I threw all the rubbish in the bin and we went out of McDonald’s.  We had to walk all the way back to the car park. After about 15 minutes of walking, we reached the car park. My dad unlocked the car, and we all went inside.

I was feeling pretty excited to go for a walk in the city because we had not walked together as a family in so long. My favorite part of the day was when I had my ice cream and fries. They were so delicious! Also, I really liked the walk because I really like to hike.  What a wonderful day I have had!

Duolingo Learning Site

Hi everyone,

Since I wanted to learn a new language, I went on Daphnee´s Blog and she posted something about this site called Doulingo. I went on the link and I had to choose my language. I chose Korean. You have to complete activities that help you learn that language. This is how it will look like when you have finished some of the lessons: 

After you have completed 10 lessons, you can have a look at the Bronze League. It will look like this:   

The green line that is highlighted, that is you. Right now I am 12th place. You will need headphones to complete them.

Writing of the Big Bad Wolf

Hi everyone,
I want to share my writing today. The writing is called the Big Bad Wolf. It is a descriptive writing that explains how I think the Big Bad Wolf is like.   
                                                                              Here is my writing:

The Big Bad Wolf

In the deep dark forest, there lurked a terrible wolf, his name was the Big Bad
Wolf. He hides from people and peers through the leaves with his big, yellow
glowing eyes.  He lives in the lush, green forest and hides in the deepest part
of the forest that no one can see.  

The Big Bad Wolf has razor-sharp teeth to eat its prey. He also has big, glowing
eyes to peer at people and other animals while they pass by. The Big Bad
Wolf has razor-sharp claws to tear through the leaves. 

 The Big Bad Wolf is selfish and very evil. He is very clever too. He uses his
ideas to trick people and animals. He is too terrifying for people to go into the
forest because he can scare people and animals. 

In the story ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ the wolf did some very bad and
mischievous things. The things he did were pretending to be little red riding
hoods grandma and scare red riding hood away. He also pretended to be a
friend with Little red riding hood, and he also mimicked a voice. The voice he
mimicked was little red hood's grandma, who the wolf ate while little red riding
hood was coming. 

I would never go to that forest because the big bad wolf can trick me as he did
to little red riding hood. Also because he is very mischievous and he can be
mean and he can be rude to me.
