Orienteering Maps

 Hello,

I want to show you an Orienteering Map. On every Tuesday for 6 weeks, people come in and teach us about Orienteering. Last week, we learnt how to tell and Orienteering map.  

Here are some: 


This one is an example of a random school

The yellow means grass, the grey figures are buildings, and the blue lines mean they are pointing north. 

Here is another example of a school:


This Tuesday, we did Orienteering in our school. The instructors gave us a clipcard, and we had to run around in a circle and as soon as we reached the next pole, we had to clip our card.

Google Earth

 Hello,

Today I want to show you a site called Google Earth. It is a map kind of site, and you can play games, do quizzes, explore the world, and much more! 

Here are the things you can do on Google Earth:

  • Play Games
  • Explore the world
  • Quizzes
  • Put places on your memory
  • Make fun Projects

Google Earth  is kind of like google maps, but this site  is much more fun! But first you might have to sign in. You can also search by clicking on the search button on the left side of your screen.
Here is how it looks like: 
    

To get to the games, click on the voyager button. It will look like this:


The voyager is the middle one, and there, you can choose to do games, quizzes, discoveries, and you can also click on the top picture, and it will take you to do something.
