Monday SLJ: Building a Sundial

 Hello,

Yesterday's Nanogirl task was to create a Sundial. A Sundial is something that people used in the olden days to tell the time. The way it works is that you have to put it in a position that sun will come, and you can tell the time from there.

When I put mine in the sun, it looked pretty cool. It was like an actual clock, but without the numbers and the hands and the rest of the stuff. We made our one out of cardboard, and it was fun!

Here is my Sundial:

I hope you liked it. I did it in the evening, so that's what it looked like.
Today's one is coming!

  1. Mōrena Mahrosh,

It’s Charlotte here, a commenter for the Manaiakalani Summer Learning Journey. You have done some amazing work on the ‘Nanogirl Sundial’ task!

I think that it is pretty amazing how we can make something like a sundial out of things like cardboard! Can you think of any other things you could make out of cardboard?

What did you think of this task? I really like the Nanogirl tasks because I think Science is so fascinating and fun! What is your favourite subject?

I liked how this activity had a lot to do with the outdoors! I think that spending time in the outdoors is so much fun! I like to go swimming at the beach and also enjoy going on walks outside! What do you like to do outside?

    1. Hi,
      Thanks.
I don't know how to make other stuff out of Cardboard. My favourite subjects are Science and Art. I like to do exploring in the outdoors.

  2. Hi Molly,
    Thanks for commenting.
I enjoy all Nanogirl activities, like this one! Adding the second image was a mistake, something went wrong with my blogger and it added a caption to the image so it was quite hard to get it removed.
