Hello,
This wasn't supposed to be late. Thursday's task was Float your boat and Special place in Summer.
Float your boat was easy, because we had to make a boat and float it on water while taking a video, or a picture. I took a video.
Here it is:
I hope you liked it.
The second one is Special place in Summer.
We had to make a google drawing and write sentences about why our family likes to go there in Summer. At the end, we put a picture of it in the drawing.
Here it is:
I like to go to Holiday Parks, as it says. I couldn't find one with a playground, but this is the best.
I hope you liked my blog post:)

ReplyDeleteRenee from the Summer Learning Journey Team, here. Ka pai for your work on these two Summer Learning Journey activities! Your boat floats really well! Since you mentioned that you found this activity easy you should have a go at completing the “Step it Up” part of this activity, which is similar to the “Kick Start” activity you have already done. I would love to see this and if you do complete the extra activity you will earn bonus points towards your Summer Learning Journey tally.
I also really like your post focusing on the holiday park you visit in the summer - it sounds like you have an amazing time (and I agree that playgrounds and the beach are the best)!
What have been your favourite Summer Learning Journey activities so far? Did you find these activities fun or challenging?
Keep up the excellent mahi, I can't wait to see your other posts over the summer.

Hi,
DeleteThanks for commenting.
I don't have much time to do the 'Step It Up' activities. My favourite activity so far is the 3D paper. Some are fun, and some are challenging.
Kia ora Mahrosh,
ReplyDeleteFiona here from the SLJ team.
Great work making a neat looking paper boat that floats! What are some of the features of your boat that help it float? Did you need to have a few goes at folding boats until you got it just right? I know I did! Maybe you could add some tips to your blog for other learners!
You might like to try the Step it Up activity, where you make a Canoe and other boat designs, and add stones to test their floating properties. I'd love to see how you go! It is also a great way to earn extra summer points towards prizes.
The Holiday Park sounds like a very special summer place for you to visit. How fun! I agree that playing at the beach and playground is so much fun. The image in your blog looks very interesting - there are little doors in the hills. Is this Hobbiton?
Keep up the fantastic learning and blogging!
Ngā mihi nui,
Fiona (SLJ).
Hi,

I actually made it in one go. I don't have time for the step it up activities. I think it is Hobbiton.
