SLJ: Ice Cream

 Hello,

Today's other task is about ice cream. We had to fill out a Google slides, then make a google drawing about what we had learnt. This is a Te Reo Maori task, so it was mostly in maori. One of the fun tasks were that we had to listen to an audio file, then try and write what it says in maori, then, we deleted a box to find out if we were right, i got 1/3, but I tried.

Here is my google drawing:

I hope you like it, you can use google translate to find out what they are saying, more soon!

  1. Kia ora Mahrosh. I'm glad you had fun doing this task. I had a lot of fun creating it. Even though you got one out of three I bet you were close on the other two? Maybe you could add your slides to your blog post so that people can see what you did?

    1. Hi Phill,
      Thanks.
Adding my slides would be a good idea. I was close, but I missed out on the end word because it sounded like it was joint to the other words.

  2. Kia Ora Mahrosh,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I really enjoy these activities because I think it is important for everyone to learn and practice their Te Reo Māori. Are you able to include the activity slides in this post so I can see your work.

I really enjoyed your image and good job for stepping it up and making one, I thought it was great but it would be even better if you could have translated the sentences into Te Reo Māori. Have you had a look at scratch? It is linked in the activity description, it will allow you to animate your image.

What was your favorite part of this activity and why?

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

    1. Hi,
I might be able to add it. I like scratch, but sometimes I find it hard to animate them because there are complicated. I liked doing the slides because they were a good opportunity to learn a bit of Maori.
