Today I want to show you both my poster and my writing. My poster is about green veggies. Since my class has been into vegetables, my task was to choose a colour, and make a poster about it.

Waking The Giant

The ground shook, the  birds began to panic. Trees were beginning  to fall. At first, there was silence, but, a few moments later, the ground began to shake again. People started to run, birds kept panicking, but there was no use, the rumbling sound kept on going.

A few minutes later, the shaking stopped, and people had locked themselves in their houses. It was just like an earthquake, people hiding underneath tables and their beds. Nobody knew what to do. 

People knew that something woke the creature. The creature had big eyes, a humongous body. A person walked up to their window, and saw that the grass was just like his blanket. So that meant humans had been stepping on his blanket. What if that made him wake up? What if he didn’t want people stepping on the grass? 

The boy told his mum to tell scientists about his idea. He wanted to know if his thinking was correct. The boy was desperate to find out, but he just had to wait. His mum agreed, but she had to find a way to get to the lab without the giant seeing her. 

This was a big rusk, but she knew that she had to do it. She slowly opened the door, and took slow steps, she knew if the giant saw her, it would be a big problem. As soon as she got to the lab, she needed to find a scientist, 

“ My son had a few questions I need to ask you” The mum said. 

“About the giant?” Asked one of the scientists. “Yes about that, so, What made the giant wake up?” The mum replied. “Well, it shows that the giant woke up because it actually needed to eat. 

“Wow”, said the mum, “I cannot believe this”. She raced back to her house, but as soon as she got there, the giant was gone. She went into her house and explained everything to her son.

Feed your Whanau activitie

Kia ira everyone,

Today our class did a very fun cooking lesson. The lesson was led by Skids. We were so lucky to have them because in our cooking lesson, we made Carbonara Pasta. Carbonara Pasta is a vegetarian pasta. We were so lucky because Nestle was kind enough to send us some bags of ingredients. That means we can also make carbonara pasta at home. In the past week, my class has been learning about vegetables, and why they are so important to your body. We did all of that so we could be ready for our Feed Your Whanau cooking lesson.

How to Make a Stress Ball

 Helllo,

Today I want to show how to make a stress ball. To make a stress ball, you have to buy a helium balloon, that you can get from Countdown. Here are the steps:

• Blow a helium balloon halfway
• Twist it a few times so the air can stay in the balloon
• Put it on a small bottle with rice/flour halfway in it (Make sure the bottle is dry)
• Tip the bottle over so the rice/flour can go in the balloon
• Once all of the rice/flour is in the balloon, take the balloon out
• Cut the neck halfway (Not too much, otherwise the rice/flour will come out and make a mess, especially with flour)
• Take another balloon and and cut the neck halfway
• Turn it into a hat kind of shape and put it around your balloon (Make sure that the neck of the first balloon is on the opposite side of the second side)
• Do the same thing with another balloon

When you are done, it should look something like this:

Google Earth

 Hello,

Today I want to show you a site called Google Earth. It is a map kind of site, and you can play games, do quizzes, explore the world, and much more! 

Here are the things you can do on Google Earth:

• Play Games
• Explore the world
• Quizzes
• Put places on your memory
• Make fun Projects

Google Earth  is kind of like google maps, but this site  is much more fun! But first you might have to sign in. You can also search by clicking on the search button on the left side of your screen.

Here is how it looks like: 

    

To get to the games, click on the voyager button. It will look like this:

The voyager is the middle one, and there, you can choose to do games, quizzes, discoveries, and you can also click on the top picture, and it will take you to do something.
